SATURDAY DECEMBER 13TH, 2-4PM AND 6-8PM SUNDAY DECEMBER 14TH, 2-4PM

WHAT IS THE BETHLEHEM MARKET PLACE:

The Market Place is a walk-through event that attempts to recapture the city of Bethlehem the night that Jesus Christ was born.  Individuals will find themselves walking through the streets, talking to the shopkeepers and shepherds and hearing the stories of the Inn Keepers.  They will face the census and taxation similar to that of Joseph and Mary.  At the end of the trip through the village, they will find the animals in the stable, the angel, Mary, Joseph and of course baby Jesus.  We will try to create the feeling of the setting as close to the event as possible.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE and WHAT PROCESS IS INVOLVED?

Visitors are asked to enter the church at the Union Street door.  They enter the sanctuary to begin the registration process and wait their turn to enter the market place.  While seated in the sanctuary they will enjoy various Christmas music presentations.  The time it takes to enter the market place will depend upon the amount of visitors that have arrived ahead of them.  Once they are escorted from the sanctuary to the market place, the actual time of the walk through would be about 20 to 30 minutes
